I was born an atheist; along the way people told me there was a God so I sang about him in school assembly, not really knowing who I was singing about. Apparently he was a kind person, but i'd never met him so it was pretty difficult to tell. At the age of about 17, I heard a word which best described my complete lack of belief in this bloke in the sky who watches over us all; this word was "atheist". Though even to this day, I much prefer the term "Doesn't believe in a god" as it's less of a categorisation or label. Mines not a very long, nor interesting a story i’m afraid!
