Fundamentalist Christians say:
If you accept Jesus as your personal savior, you are “born again” and bound for heaven.
An existential perspective says:
If you are committed, consistently and authentically, to THIS existence, you are born and reborn birth every day — with every choice, with each conscious action. If you don’t believe you CHOOSE each action, aren’t wholly responsible for your actions, and aren’t acutely aware of the full range of all choices at every given moment, you may, in fact, be stillborn.
Heaven, as a construct of dishonest hope and false succor, is, of course, irrelevant.
We forfeit three-quarters of ourselves in order to be like other people.

A choice:
Push back, with every ounce of imagination,
against the pedestrian world,
or participate, unwittingly or willingly, with it.
I respect people who openly “say it like it is.” Honestly.
So saying isn’t a problem. It’s your version of it and is.
If you’re more devoted to truth, as you see it, than to people, as they see you, be ready to pay the costs.
Faith stunts growth. Doubt feeds it.

Nothing is worth more than this day. — Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Squeeze every bloody drop of life from this precious existence.
You don’t get another.
